The quality control of HTC - Bioceramics Division starts from the selection of the most pure available raw materials which combined with the consolidated know how in the sector allows us to obtain the basic component material with the highest chemical and physical properties.
Having a tight control of the manufacturing cycle the Zircox-Yd blanks are manufactured assuring a safe product compliant with ISO (International Standards Organization) and 93/42 EEC having the Class IIa CE homologation ( ).
Chemical and Physical properties
Zircox-Yd blanks are produced and tested under the International Standards Organization:
- ISO 6872 Second Edition 01-09-1995 Dental Ceramic
- ISO 6872 Amendment 1, 01-12-1997 Dental Ceramic Amendment 1
- ISO 9693 Metal-ceramic dental restorative systems
- ISO 13356 First Edition 15-09-1997 Implants for surgery - ceramic materials based on Yttrium stabilized tetragonal Zirconium (Y-TZP)
Zircox-Yd – Blank is manufactured according to ISO 13356:1997 requirements

Chemical durability
Chemical durability is the most important property requirement for all the dental materials due to presence of wide range of temperature, PH values and chemical agents which could degrading them in the oral cavity.
In general the dental ceramics are considered to be the most inert dental materials used for dental restorations and according to Anusavice’s research, the ceramics are the most durable dental materials.
